Welcome to The Mosses Centre.

The Mosses Centre is a large Community Centre situated in the middle of Bury, near the famous Bury Market. It provides a meeting place for over thirty clubs and groups including a Youth Club, Martial Arts Classes and Line Dancing. Our Pre-School was inspected recently and has achieved a good Ofsted rating. The Mosses Centre is managed by the Mosses Community Association Ltd, a Registered Charity.

Mosses Pre-school.

 

Our Pre-School is full at the moment and there are no places for either 2 or 3 year olds, but we do have a waiting list. Please telephone us on 0161 761 2079 ext 3 or 7; call in to the Mosses Centre; or email donna@mossescentre.co.uk for more information.

 

Our Pre-school is OFSTED Good and registered for 24 children aged between 2 - 4 years each session.

We are open for 38 weeks a year, Monday - Friday, 08:45 - 11.45 and 12.30 - 15:30.

 

We have 6 qualified childcare practitioners as well as volunteers and childcare students from local colleges.

 

Mosses Youth Club.

 

Our Youth Club meets every Monday evening from 7.15 - 8.45 pm and is for boys and girls aged 8 - 13. This was set up with the assistance of Bury Division of GMP.

    We have a cafe with a varied menu and offer healthy breakfasts from 9.30 - 11 am and home made lunches from 12 - 1 pm. Our menu changes daily and includes dishes such as home made meat or cheese and onion pie, pasta dishes and jacket potatoes, sandwiches and salads. A main meal is only £2.70!

    We have rooms for hire including our large Main Hall with a bar and dance floor for weddings, parties, quiz nights, etc and our Gym is suitable for sports and exercise classes. We also have smaller rooms for meeting or training purposes.For events we can provide a buffet or hot meal and are known for our excellent pie and pea suppers!
